New difficulties

Finally I'm almost about to finish up the database. I'm planning to create a button for the user to browse files to attach the coach's photo, but because of limited time, I decided to simplify it - A default blank image with 'Add image here' in the centre has been made and I've instructed in the home page so that the user can manually insert images her/himself.Also I still couldn't find a way to match customers' birthday to current date and then notify the user. Hence such feature will be dropped as I've discussed with my client and he said its not the essential function he needs from a database.

Latest problems encountered and solved

I've got stuck on two places a while ago which now I've managed to overcome them after conducting some research.
1. Help page - I was planning to incorporate a composing email sort of template in to the form 'Help' that shows up in the beginning so people can fill in the information within the database and simply click send button to forward any inquiries and feedbacks to my email. However through research I haven't found a perfect solution to my situation, but instead,I figured out that I can construct a hyperlink that opens outlook with receiver box filled in for you. Even though it's a bit more troublesome but since I have not got enough time and it still functions alright, it's the best solution for now.
2. Email template - was about to integrate a sort of email template within the database, but all of it was unnecessary when I found out about hyperlink where you can link directly to sending an email by outlook. Convenient, simple.

Starting on Evaluation

While I'm sending the final product to my client for him to test it and give feedback. I'm starting on the Evaluation for the product meanwhile when I have to wait for his feedback.

Documentation completed

Last week I've managed to finish the documentation of my MS Access-constructed Database. The documentation includes lots of screen-grabs of my final product and some annotations.

Class and Coach details added

Few days ago I've been trying to add details and a new box for coach input in the class details page, allowing users to enter their all sorts of information and save it.

15th, Feb, 2011: Problem Solved

After few days of struggle I've finally managed to link the entry box of class number in the input data form to a selection of class numbers generated in another form separately. I've learned to create relationships in between tables, and also in order for the program to look for existed values in another table/query when inputting new data, I'd go to design view of the table and hit the lookup tab when the box is selected. Set 'Display Control' to List Box, 'Row Source Type' to Table/Query, and 'Row Source' to the table/query you want the values to be looked up from.

Progress 10th, Feb, 2011

Research how to make the form pop up in a window when opened by setting the form properties. Looked at form property table and learned the wide options you could do with it.

Finalizing the design of Home page and also details of classes and association with coaches.
